The story of Phaedra has been debated for over 2000 years: a woman struck by an obsessive lust and passion for her son Hipploytus. Using dramatic texts, an original soundscape, and a new operatic score, this non-linear experimental physical theatre piece melds various performing arts mediums’ to help express the deep emotions and passions of the story of Phaedra while also looking at it through a unique perspective; that of the inner workings of Phaedra’s mind at the moment she is struck with the instant passion for her son, which later, becomes her downfall.
